IT’S GRADUATION SEASON, and every time it rolls around I am reminded of how I always seem to find memoir in the day-to-day. I’ve spoken at commencements, and it’s a great honor to be asked to do so. Among the graduation speeches and tributes I have given over the years, one really stands out, both as the most fun I’ve ever had behind the podium, and for what I learned .
It’s this, my cum laude speech at my daughter’s single-sex school. I call it Fifteen Rules for Us Girls to Live By.
Read it and see if you’ve got any rules I should add to it.
Are you, like me, able to find memoir in the day-to-day? Tell me how.
