Have danced over from the SW ball. Have never tried my hand at memoir writing but my father did as part of his family history research and I’m interested in writing up his life story so I’ll definitely be back to read more of your blog.

Hi Marion…nice site. I too am a teacher and memoir writer. Finally found my authentic voice and couldn’t shut it up. Guess I had a lot to say. I love blogging and writing memoir. I find the two closely related.

    Marion,
What a beautifully laid out website! I love your header and the colors.
I’m here from SheWrites and I’m working on my first memoir, which has been really tough…Let’s hope it gets better from here!

      Hi, SheWriters.
What a lovely dance we are having, like a grand Virgina Reel, handing one another along to the sites. Great idea, Meg.
Thanks for all the kind words about my website.
It’s brand new, up only about 2 weeks. I’m so glad you like it.
For those of you interested specifically in memoir, please see The Memoir Project Face Book page, where I aggregate all news on memoir.
If you merely go “like” it, it will deliver the news to you.
For any memoir instruction, please keep coming back to the blog on this site, where I’m teaching all the time.
      And after that?
      Write on.

Joining the chorus to say that your site is really beautiful. And your book about the sexual power of red hair sounds amazing; I have to search it out!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier, and thanks for the kind words about WDLT.

      Hi there, Niranjana.
Welcome to my new blog. Many thanks for the kind words. The redhead book was a hoot to write. I hope you enjoy it.
My other books are here, and include one for which I spent two years behind the scenes of the world of forensic science, and the other, in which I chronicled tour family’s struggle with my mother’s Alzheimer’s disease. She was 49 when she got sick.
I think long and hard before launching on a new book, since the years spent with it are rather like a love affair — and you always hope those to go well, yes?
I look forward to more correspondence with you.
